Prediabetes merupakan kondisi transisi antara kadar glukosa darah normal dan diabetes melitus yang ditandai dengan peningkatan kadar glukosa darah puasa. Kasus prediabetes pada remaja semakin meningkat seiring dengan perubahan pola makan, terutama konsumsi minuman manis, serta status gizi yang berlebih. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kebiasaan konsumsi minuman manis dan status gizi dengan kejadian prediabetes pada remaja di Kota Surakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif observasional dengan desain cross-sectional yang melibatkan 197 responden siswa SMA di Surakarta yang dipilih dengan teknik multistage random sampling dan simple random sampling. Data konsumsi minuman manis diperoleh menggunakan kuesioner Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ), status gizi diukur berdasarkan indeks massa tubuh menurut umur (IMT/U), dan kadar glukosa darah puasa diperoleh melalui pemeriksaan laboratorium. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson atau Spearman dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,05. Hasil. Kesimpulan

Abstract

Prediabetes is a transitional condition between normal blood glucose levels and diabetes mellitus, characterized by elevated fasting blood glucose levels. The incidence of prediabetes among adolescents has been increasing due to dietary changes, particularly the frequent consumption of sugary drinks and excessive nutritional status. This study aims to determine the relationship between sugary drink consumption habits and nutritional status with the incidence of prediabetes among adolescents in Surakarta City. This research is a quantitative observational study with a cross-sectional design involving 197 high school students in Surakarta, selected using multistage random sampling and simple random sampling techniques. Sugary drink consumption data were collected using a Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ), nutritional status was assessed based on Body Mass Index-for-Age (BMI/A), and fasting blood glucose levels were measured through laboratory testing. Data were analyzed using Pearson or Spearman correlation tests with a significance level of 0.05. Results. Conclusion
